10 March 2007 Clariden Leu Singapore Masters 2007 Day 3
The third day of the Clariden Leu Singapore Masters 2007 is over and with only one more day of action, it is anyone’s guess who will take the title at Laguna this year.
Last night’s leader Jyoti Randhawa did not quite manage to maintain his form of yesterday scoring a 72 for the day. However he is still comfortably in contention in third place and only one shot off joint leaders Liang Wen-Chong of China and England’s Gary Lockerbie who are 12-under for the tournament. Lockerbie shot a 69 while Liang came in with a 68.
Nick Dougherty produced his best round of the competition yet with 66 to take him to eight-under and tied eighth position. Another England player Simon Dyson also jumped up the leader board after a round of 67, at nine-under after three days and tied in sixth place.
The crowds were entertained on and off the Masters Course once again today. A highlight was the Jean Daniels Trick Shot Show on hole one of the Classic Course and several golf clinics were held for school children and golf enthusiasts by key players including Lee Westwood and David Howell.
Tomorrow tees-off at 7:45am once again and there is a special FREE ENTRY for the first 100 spectators who come through the gates before 10am.
The final flight to go out will be Lockerbie, Liang and Randhawa at 11.50am. Singapore’s Mardan Mamat and defending champion will start the final round at 10.25am after scoring a 70 for the day and is tied in 21st place. |
